About Me:
I am a village born, brought up boy. My earliest imagination that I can still recollect today is becoming a flying bird. I wanted to go different places and I found flying is easiest and cost free compared to traveling on a bus. The days passed with many such imaginations and questions to know the things.
In the process, I completed my primary schooling in my village Polakal, secondary schooling and plus+2 education in Kurnool town. I pursued B. Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology from Sri Krishnadevaray University. In the off-campus placement, I got placed in M/s SJK Steels Ltd., Tadipatri (now Arjas steels Ltd). Here I worked for one year and moved onto pursue higher studies in Masters. I cracked All India level GATE exam with 504 Rank and got the opportunity complete M.Tech degree in Power Electronics and Drives specialization from NIT Warangal. |
While pursuing M.Tech, I got campus placement in Infosys, an MNC IT company. However, I found my interest in teaching and joined NIT Goa to teach Electrical and Electronics Engineering under graduates. After working in this position for two and half years, I realized the importance of Ph.D. degree for pursuing a sustained career in the academics. I joined NIT Goa in 2014 for full time Ph.D. research and secured the degree in 2018. I received full scholarship from MHRD, Govt. of India to complete my Masters and Ph.D. studies.
I choose my Ph.D. research to be in solar Photovoltaics (PV) systems; I pursued a topic in this field and successfully completed it. While pursuing Ph.D., I got selected to the BASE fellowship, awarded annually to seven applicants in India by Indo-US Science and Technology Forum, which was jointly established by DST, Govt. of India and Dept. of State, USA. I received full funding for five months to pursue a part of my Ph.D. work with Dr. Brad Lehman, ECE Dept., Northeastern University. Boston, USA. Presently, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Florida Solar Energy Center, University of Central Florida, working on a US DOE Sponsored project on advanced monitoring of solar PV systems. |
